Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi is a small festival website inspired by a greeting card designed by my sister.

I built it in a single evening as a digital version of her artwork, adding music, a video, a few facts about Lord Ganesha, and an easy way to share it with others.

During Ganesh Chaturthi, my sister was sitting beside me and drawing a handmade greeting card for the festival.

I was sitting at home with nothing to do. While watching her draw, I thought,

“Why not turn this greeting card into a website?”

That idea became this project.

Journey

I used my sister’s greeting card as the inspiration for the design and recreated it digitally. I kept the same style and artwork while adapting it for the web.

To make it feel more alive, I added a Ganesh song that plays with a button, embedded a YouTube video about Lord Ganesha, included a few interesting facts, and added a WhatsApp share button so anyone could send the greeting to friends and family.

The entire website was built in a single evening, and my sister’s artwork became the heart of the project.
